A dear friend of mine blessed me with belated birthday gifts a while back. I unwrapped several gifts before she handed me a gift bag containing these bars of soap. If you could have seen my reaction you would have thought they were bars of gold rather than bars of soap. I really like the soap at World Market. I love the packaging, the fragrances and the fact that they last so long.
Here is where it gets even better. She then handed me an envelope with a large amount of cash inside. It was an extravagantly generous gift. I began to cry tears of joy and gratitude and said, "I was just thankful for the soap!" Later, as I reflected on my evening, the Lord brought to mind this thought: our good God longs to give us the very best gifts. Don't just expect "soap" when He longs to give you the gold. In this age of constant contact, negative bombardment, overbooked schedules, and overwhelmed minds, we must make the time to step away from it all and just be still. In the book of Psalms, chapter 46 and verse 10, the ultimate Source of Peace states, "Be still and know that I am God..." I'm so very thankful that: "He is our refuge and strength, an abundantly available help in trouble." (Ps. 46:1) "For He Himself is our peace..." (Eph. 2:14) and most importantly, "...God is LOVE." (1John 4:8)
Let's prioritize and savor the time "to be still and know." Our little ones are never too young to embrace "noble status with a servant's heart." What a wonderful world it would be if all children (and children at heart) knew their royal worth! Every purple life can make a purple difference!
If you are interested in purchasing a Purple Products onesie, please contact us! The Kindness Queen had the purple pleasure to visit J. Allen Axson Montessori School this past Wednesday. The school's focus was Healthy Choices Week. My Power of Purple presentation covered noblesse oblige behavior choices, courtesy, and empowering the students to take care of their bodies and minds. The Kindness Queen read her book, Kitty Kitty's Unusual Fishing Trip, which advocates the virtue of personal ownership.
Purple Praise goes out to Violet Stovall, Principal at Justina Road Elementary School, and Amy Roberts, Assistant Principal, for the glorious manner in which they lead their students and families, faculty and staff. The Kindness Queen thanks you for expanding the Kindness Kingdom!
